Asset Engineer

This position is required to undertake condition assessment of all the council’s assets in order to manage the performance, risk, lifecycle cost and write-off expected time of infrastructure assets across Council, in order to improve asset investment decision making and achieve sustainable improvements for the visitors and the community.Ensuring the successful development and maintenance of the Asset Management Plan (AMP) and Long-Term Financial Plan (LTFP) through effective liaison, communication and engagement while developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation. General responsibilities of the position, include but not limited to:Support the development of Process Safety and Asset Management frameworksWork with subject matter experts and maintenance personnel to create and optimise major asset maintenance strategies and asset management plansSupport and facilitate defect elimination activitiesReport on project progress to key stakeholders and senior leadershipFacilitate co-creation workshops to develop solutions for improved process safety, asset management and risk management activities  Key responsibilities of the position, include but not limited to:The development and maintenance of Asset Management PlansThe development and Implementation of Asset renewal works programsAsset Data Collection, Condition Assessment, Management & AnalysisCapital Budget prioritisation and Long-term planningAssist in post construction/renewal final inspection with Construction Manager’s unit on Building & Open Space assetsProvide advice to internal stakeholders (Construction and maintenance teams, Community services, Planning) on Building & Open Space asset renewal plans and maintenance strategies.KEY SELECTION CRITERIAApplicants should address the following:A relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent experience and knowledgeUnderstanding of engineering practices and infrastructure requirements and how they apply particularly within a local government environment High level of computer literacy and personal computer application experience, including a detailed understanding of the workings of an Asset Management Information System (Assetic)Experience in developing and maintaining asset management plans is essential  A good working knowledge and understanding of asset management principles and practicesWell-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare reports and submissions Demonstrated ability to continuous improvement and a commitment to professional developmentPlease apply via the below link onlyhttp://careers.cloncurry.qld.gov.au/job-details/query/asset-engineer/in/australia/8164704/ Applications Close Monday 24 May 2021 at 12:00pmFor Further information please contact 07 4742 4100CLICK HERE FOR POSITION DESCRIPTION AUD Cloncurry 4824
