The 'Curry', as it is affectionately known by locals, is 120km east of Mount Isa and 400km south of the Gulf of Carpentaria. OBJECTIVE OF THIS ROLETo provide property and facilities management services across the organisation in relation to Council's property portfolio to ensure they are well maintained and managed. The position will contribute to the development of Council’s strategic vision relating to affordable housing, property development, commercial property leases, maintenance and acquisition and will undertake as required all aspects of property management tasks in order to achieve the delivery of effective and quality property management services. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE- Liaise with the Building Maintenance Supervisor & Officer, Swimming Pool Contractor, and Contractors in general to complete works on Council facilities- Undertake assessment of Council buildings in conjunction with Council’s Building Maintenance employees to develop short, medium- and long-term maintenance programs- Actively participate with providing input, program development and implementation of Council’s Asset Management Plan- Review existing policies and procedures as they relate to property services to ensure that they continue to be relevant and appropriate to Council needs- Participate with budgets within with Property Management portfolio- Assist the Operations team to carry out planning for capital projects and events- Ensure flexibility to work outside of normal business hours (including weekends) where required- Develop and maintain a property portfolio for all of councils residential and commercial facilities- Lead and initiate the development, implementation, monitoring and review of strategies, policies and guidelines relating to property matters- Monitor the standard and performance of Council’s property holdings and recommend appropriate action, including recommendations for acquisition or disposal.- Other duties as reasonably required within scope of position.QUALIFICATIONSMandatory:A current Police ClearanceA current C class driver’s licence.Possess a construction White CardPossess a working knowledge of local government operations, structure, services, programs, policies and activities relating to property and facility management and aged care accommodation.Desirable:Tertiary qualifications in Building, and/or Facilities Management or other discipline relevant to the positionExperience in the realty sector is highly desirable.  Applications close 5 April 2023 at 5:00pm Cloncurry Shire Council reserves the right to commence recruitment prior to the closing date should a suitable applicant apply  PD Property Management Coordinator AUD Cloncurry 4824
