This position is responsible for: the end-to-end safe delivery of projects in accordance with the Cloncurry Shire Council’s Project Management Framework and for addressing all critical project control elements including, cost, schedule, quality, risk and information management. Further, this role will support the Director of Projects in managing a team of project practitioners and partners to meet Council’s strategic objectives.Projects range up to $10M (typically). Processes:Develop, implement and manage Project Management Plans and lead the agreed execution strategies. Oversee the monitoring, reporting and controlling of all execution strategies as required.Cost Management – Develop project cost estimates, monitor and control the project costs.Schedule Management – Develop, monitor and control the project schedules.Scope Management – Develop, monitor and control the project scope.Procedures:Deliver projects in accordance with statutory and Council standards, policies and procedures.Undertake project planning, project management and contract management as Council’s principle contact for project work.Leadership:Responsible for leading and managing projects and project teams to deliver predictable project outcomes.Supervision of the project work and contractor performance to ensure the delivery of project outcomes.Highly effective leadership skills in managing stakeholder relationships to successfully deliver project strategic objectives.Qualifications: Mandatory:Hold and maintain an unrestricted C class driver’s licence.Construction White Card;Certification in Project Management, related qualification or equivalent industry experienceDesirable:Experience in Local Government or civil construction industry is highly desirable.Tertiary or Vocational qualifications in Project Management and/or related qualification.Membership of a relevant professional institute.Applications close Friday 16 April 2021 at 5:00pm.
