Executive Support Officer

Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking a professional, organised, and proactive Executive Support Officer to provide high-level administrative and confidential support to the Chief Executive Officer, Mayor, Councillors, and the Executive Office.This position supports the effective day-to-day functioning of Council’s Executive Office through responsibilities including diary and inbox management, meeting coordination, preparation of correspondence, travel and event support, and professional customer service.What We OfferFull Time- (Stream A), Level 4–5-Salary: $77,000–$86,000 per annum + superannuation in accordance with the Local Government ActThe opportunity to work closely with the CEO, Mayor, Councillors, and senior staffA varied and meaningful role involving executive administration, civic events, and public-facing responsibilitiesCompetitive remuneration including:Five weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading Locality allowanceRemote Area Housing Assistance allowance ($60 pw Renting / $90 pw Homeowner)Monthly Rostered Day Off About YouYou will bring experience as a proactive and reliable administrative professional, with strong attention to detail and the ability to support busy teams in a fast-paced environment. What We Offer

  • Full Time- (Stream A), Level 4–5-Salary: $77,000–$86,000 per annum + superannuation in accordance with the Local Government Act

About You

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A high level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and confidence in learning new systems
  • Experience formatting official correspondence and preparing reports
  • Confidence liaising with a range of stakeholders, including dignitaries, executives, community members, and elected officials
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support events, civic functions, and occasional after-hours activities
  • Previous administrative or secretarial experience (local government experience highly regarded)

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current Police Clearance
  • Unrestricted C Class Driver’s Licence

Desirable Qualifications

  • Certificate, Diploma or relevant qualification in Business Administration
  • Previous experience in Local Government
  • Experience using systems such as Microsoft Office or social media platforms.
