Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking an experienced Manager Strategic Projects & Delivery to join our Executive Services team.Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will sit at the centre of Council’s strategic priorities, turning complex ideas and organisational challenges into well-planned, practical and measurable outcomes. You will lead high-priority projects, develop business cases and funding submissions, drive business improvement initiatives and provide high-level strategic support across Council.What We Offer:Fixed Term 3 Year Contract - Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award - State 2017 - Level 8 OAPSalary: $135,000 - $150,000 per annum + SuperannuationHousing subject to negotiationPersonal (Sick) LeaveFive weeks annual leave, with 17.5% leave loadingMonthly RDO (13 per year)Locality AllowanceAbout The Role:Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager Strategic Projects & Delivery leads Council’s strategic projects, business improvement initiatives, funding opportunities and executive priorities. The role develops business cases, grant and funding submissions, strategic reports and project plans, undertakes organisational and service reviews, and works across Council directorates to improve performance, efficiency and delivery of Council’s strategic objectives.About You:We are seeking an experienced and collaborative strategic leader who can build strong relationships across Council, provide high-level advice, and lead complex projects and organisational improvement initiatives. Mandatory Requirements:
  • Current Police Clearance
  • Current unrestricted C Class Driver Licence
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business improvement, project management, funding acquisition or executive support functions
Desirable:
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Economics, Public Administration, Project Management, Engineering or Regional Development
  • Previous Local Government experience
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Business, Leadership, Governance or Project Management
  • Experience securing State and Federal Government funding
  • Experience undertaking organisational reviews, service reviews or efficiency programs
  • Previous people leadership or senior management experience
