Council is seeking a Manager to lead its Human Resources and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is a key one within the organisation.
The role involves delivering on workforce planning, recruitment, policy refinement, and performance management frameworks. Additionally, it is responsible for developing and delivering our Learning & Development program and maintaining our Learning Management System. An understanding of the industrial relations legislation (Award and Act) is a key requirement. The position works with Corporate Services to administer payroll, so experience in this area is crucial.
On the safety front, the role acts as a mentor the WHS team, manage safety systems, and ensure the implementation of safety management plans. This position requires a proactive leader who will integrate the safety and HR strategies to promote a culture of accountability, continual improvement, and organizational growth.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND LICENCES REQUIRED
Mandatory:
Current Police Clearance
Current unrestricted class driver’s licence
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or similar field
Desirable:
Certificate IV Training and Assessment and/or WHS is desirable
