Media & Public Relations Officer

You will be the main contact for all media-related matters and ensure the Council’s work is well-communicated and understood.Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team and other Council departments, you will plan and deliver clear communication strategies. Your tasks will include writing media releases, managing social media accounts, responding to media enquiries, and producing materials to inform and engage the community about the Council’s work and initiatives.The role also includes monitoring public and media feedback, assisting with communication during emergencies, and maintaining the Council’s website and digital platforms. You will work to keep residents informed about important issues, promote local events, and support positive relationships between the Council and the community.
